Doyle's Words of Wisdom - ESPN radio

The 4/29/08 ESPN Podcast of the Doyle Brunson interview is a good listen. Here are some of Doyle's nuggets.

On the differences between cash game players and the tournament players - Cash players are more street smart, more gamble in them. "You gotta have a screw loose to start with!"

Competition and Passion for the game keep him playing!

Agression is necessary in poker but (can be) overdone.

The way you play poker is dictated by the people and their play around you.

Act on your convictions.

Patience. He said Chip Reese was a patient man at the poker table. Do not loose focus.

On taking stiff losses and being on a losing streak. You have to be able to bounce back. That's the mark of a great player.

The Great Doyle Brunson...
